Sabreena Obaid is a Senior Economist in the United States Division of International Economic Analysis Department at the Bank of Canada. Her research interests lie in the fields of international finance and monetary economics. Her recent research has focused on the role of news shocks in the business cycles of small open economies and optimal monetary policy. She has obtained her PhD from McMaster University.
