At the Centre of Canada's Capital

The Bank of Canada is an architectural gem located in the very heart of Canada's capital city, Ottawa. Its centrepiece: a unique tropical garden with reflecting pools of water and lush plants from around the world. Amenities include: a fitness centre that offers a variety of equipment, programs and activities; a wellness centre; a spacious cafeteria; one of Canada's most complete economics libraries; and a fascinating currency museum.

The Bank also operates smaller offices in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, and in New York City.

Wellness

We support the health and wellness of our employees through a number of programs and services. At our Ottawa headquarters you will have access to our wellness centre, which includes space for massage therapy, a meditation room and a quiet room for reflection or religious observance. Weight-loss group sessions are also organized on a regular basis, along with seasonal flu-immunization clinics. A regular wellness newsletter is distributed to all employees.

Flexibility

We are committed to providing you with a work environment that allows you to reach your full potential both professionally and personally. Whenever possible, the Bank does its best to offer different types of working arrangements such as flexible working hours, compressed schedules, part-time work, and telework.

Life in Ottawa

Ottawa is home to a wealth of culture, nature, leisure and entertainment all year round. From a variety of festivals to ready access to rivers, lakes, parks and hiking trails, not to mention the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO heritage site and the world's longest skating rink, Canada's capital city is an ideal place to call home.
