Bio
Naomi Belleau is the Bank’s Chief Internal Auditor and Managing Director of the Audit Department (AUD). In this capacity, she leads the evaluation of the effectiveness of the Bank’s risk management, control and governance processes. To provide for the independence of internal auditing, she reports functionally to the Audit and Finance Committee of the Board of Directors and administratively to the Office of the Governor.
Ms. Belleau started her career at an accounting firm prior to joining the Bank in 2009 as a Senior Internal Auditor. She progressed into more senior roles at the Bank, including four years as the Deputy Managing Director of AUD.
Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Ms. Belleau holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor.
