The Bank of Canada is today launching a new webpage with details on the Government of Canada’s purchases of Canada Mortgage Bonds (CMBs). This webpage will provide information and data regarding upcoming CMB purchases by the government, the purchase trades, and the government’s holdings of CMBs.
As a reminder, for the 2024 calendar year, the Government of Canada intends to target a total purchase amount of 50% of fixed-rate CMB primary issuances.
