Alexis Corbett

Incoming Chief Operating Officer (effective May 31, 2024)

Bio

Alexis Corbett is the incoming Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Bank of Canada and will take over full responsibility for the role in May 2024. She works closely with outgoing COO Filipe Dinis to oversee the Bank’s operations, strategic planning, risk, and corporate functions, including the currency function.

Ms. Corbett joined the Bank in 2011 as Director of Human Resources, a business line within the Corporate Services Department. She was named Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer in 2014, when Human Resources was made a separate department. Her leadership contributed to the Bank being recognized as a Top 100 Employer in Canada.

Before she joined the Bank, Ms. Corbett worked for more than 15 years in human resources for Canada Post Corporation in progressively senior and diverse positions. In 2018, Ms. Corbett received Human Resources Director Canada’s Leader of The Year award, for human resources leadership in both public and private sector organizations.

Born in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Ms. Corbett has a master’s degree in business administration from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Western Ontario. She is a graduate of the Advanced Program in Human Resources Management from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and has held her Certified Human Resources Leader designation since July 2001.
