Bio
Prior to joining the Bank, Jean-Pierre had worked at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) since 2001. His more recent role at OSFI was Managing Director, Domestic Banking, which he took on in 2022. In that role, Jean-Pierre led a team responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a portfolio of small and mid-sized deposit taking institutions. From 2016 to 2022, Jean-Pierre was Managing Director of the Approvals and Precedents and then the Legislative Policy, Interpretations and Compliance teams. In these roles, Jean-Pierre led the teams responsible for dealing with all regulatory approval requests and interpretating the Bank Act, Insurance Companies Act, Trust and Loan Companies Act and corresponding regulations.
Born in Montréal, Québec, Jean-Pierre holds a Master of Science in Management degree from Queen’s University and a Baccalaureate in civil law from Université de Montréal.
