Policy-makers reacted to the COVID-19 crisis through a variety of channels. This Systemic Risk Centre conference, co-organized with the Bank of Canada, focused on how financial markets responded to these policy initiatives and asked what we have learned for future interventions.
Jointly sponsored by the Bank of Canada, Bank of England, European Central Bank and Federal Reserve Board, the conference was held on September 23 and 24, 2020 at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
As part of the 2021 renewal of the Bank of Canada’s inflation-control agreement with the Government of Canada, Bank staff are currently comparing several monetary policy frameworks. The primary goal of this day-long workshop is to share—and receive comments on—these comparisons.
