This year’s winners represent a joint effort between the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
Together, Curtis Dolliver, Annie Lachapelle, Philippe Sincennes (CBSA), and Corporal Mitch Thompson (RCMP) disrupted the smuggling of counterfeit bank notes and bank note components into Canada, leading to the arrest of a major counterfeiter in Nova Scotia.
The award recognizes their interagency cooperation across provincial lines, and their contributions to protecting the financial safety and welfare of Canada.
The winners were honoured at the annual Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Summit, held in Victoria on August 12, 2025.
This award, which the Bank began presenting in 2004, recognizes the outstanding achievements of criminal justice professionals and educators involved in the prevention and deterrence of bank note counterfeiting in Canada.
