Mandate
The Bank of Canada established the Retail Payments Advisory Committee (RPAC) in 2020 to gather industry expertise about the retail payment services landscape.
The committee provided advice to support the Bank’s work on the design and implementation of its retail payments supervision framework until December 2023.

The Bank of Canada sought written feedback from industry participants via RPAC to help inform the Bank’s supervisory approach for transaction reporting. This outreach is now closed.
