Consultation on draft supervisory guidelines for consumer-driven banking supervision

Under the Consumer-Driven Banking Act, the Bank of Canada will be responsible for supervising participants and setting standards for governance, risk management, and operational resilience.

We want to hear from you. Review our draft supervisory guidelines related to accreditation for consumer-driven banking and find out how to provide your feedback.

These are the first in a series of supervisory guidelines the Bank plans to issue as the framework is developed and will be followed by consultations on additional draft guidelines.

About the consultation

For this consultation, we want to know whether any aspects of the draft guidelines could be:

  • difficult to implement in practice;
  • discourage voluntary participation; or
  • supported with additional examples or supporting information.
