Jason Allen is a Senior Research Director in the Financial Market Department at the Bank of Canada. He is an applied microeconomist whose primary research interests center on the household sector and the role that competition in retail banking plays in shaping credit outcomes.
Zahir Antia was appointed Senior Representative of the New York Office of the Bank of Canada in July 2011. In this capacity, Mr. Antia develops and maintains relationships with central banking counterparts, financial regulatory authorities and other financial market participants in the United States.
Gabriel Bruneau is a Senior Economist in the Financial Stability Department at the Bank of Canada. He is a macroeconomist and an applied econometrician whose primary research interests center on the monetary economics, housing market and macroprudential policies, and the development of nonlinear estimation methods in econometrics.
Ian Christensen is Senior Director in the Bank’s Financial Markets Department. His primary interests include financial system regulation and the assessment of risks to financial stability. Ian has also worked extensively on monetary policy, specifically the financial channels of policy. He obtained his Masters in Economics from the University of Victoria.
