Phuong Anh Ho Huu

Regional Director (Currency)

Phuong Anh Ho Huu was appointed Regional Director (Currency) at the Bank's Regional Office for Quebec in 2007. In this capacity, she ensures delivery of the Bank's currency education program and monitors developments related to currency and its security in the region. In co-operation with private sector partners, she is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the bank note distribution system. She also plays a major role in promoting the Bank and communicating its messages to a variety of external audiences.

Ms. Ho Huu was born in Nha Trang, Vietnam. In 1994, she received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance and a Certificate in Marketing, both from the École des sciences de la gestion of the Université du Québec à Montréal. She also received a Master's degree in Administration with a major in Marketing from the Université de Sherbrooke in 1995.

In 1996, Ms. Ho Huu began a 10-year tenure with the National Bank of Canada, during which time she held various positions of increasing responsibility. She started her career with the National Bank as a Product Analyst; she became Product Manager in 1998, Product Director in 2001, and was promoted to Project Director in 2004. In 2006, she joined Mayhews & Associates, a consulting and training firm focusing on compliance in the financial industry, as an associate.
