Debora Bielecki

Bio

Debora Bielecki was appointed to the Bank of Canada’s Board of Directors in June 2018. She brings to the role more than 30 years of corporate experience in innovation and sustainability within financial services, technology transformation and supply chains. 

Born in Toronto, Ms. Bielecki completed the Innovation Governance Program with the Council of Canada Innovation in 2021, the Executive Leadership program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in 2012, and the joint Harvard University–Hewlett-Packard program in Executive Leadership in 2013. 

She is a partner and business consultant with Bielecki & Associates Inc., a management consulting firm that advises organizations on commercial strategies and how to leverage data and analytics. Previously, she was a global executive at Hewlett-Packard Worldwide.

Ms. Bielecki is a patent-pending inventor, having designed and deployed a predictive analytics solution that uses cloud computing and big data to provide businesses with unprecedented insight when making strategic decisions. She participates often as a panelist, moderator and keynote speaker around technology transformation and women in leadership.

She currently serves on the board of Canadian Light Source, as board chair of Circular Rubber Technologies and as board advisor to Kruger Inc.

Ms. Bielecki is a recipient of the Toronto Region Conservation Authority Service Award, the City of Toronto’s Volunteer Award and WXN’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award for Corporate Board Directors. She is also a Marquis Who’s Who’ listee.
